Electric Fans Delivered to 5,300 Underprivileged Households in the Region

BNK Kyongnam Bank is carrying out the '2025 Cool Summer Project' to help underprivileged groups in the region get through the summer.

BNK Kyongnam Bank Donates 160 Million Won in Social Contribution Fund to Gyeongsangnam-do Donation for social contribution fund.

On July 11, BNK Kyongnam Bank donated 160 million won as a social contribution fund to Gyeongsangnam-do, aiming to help underprivileged groups in the region spend the summer in good health.

The donation ceremony for the social contribution fund, held at the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Government building, was attended by Kim Taehan, President of BNK Kyongnam Bank; Park Wansoo, Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do; and Kang Gicheol, Chairman of the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea.

President Kim Taehan presented the donation certificate for the social contribution fund to Governor Park Wansoo and Chairman Kang Gicheol.

The 160 million won fund was used through the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea to purchase 5,300 electric fans.

The purchased fans are being distributed sequentially to 5,300 low-income and underprivileged households in 18 cities and counties of Gyeongnam, as recommended by local authorities.

President Kim Taehan stated, "With the sweltering heat and tropical nights where the temperature does not cool down even at night, there are growing concerns for the health of local residents. I hope that the social contribution fund will help underprivileged groups in the region spend the summer a bit more comfortably. We will continue to promote social contribution projects for the underprivileged and local residents, such as donating fans of love and establishing cooling shelters at all branches."

Meanwhile, prior to the donation of 5,300 fans of love, BNK Kyongnam Bank delivered kimchi for the winter to 6,670 underprivileged households in the Gyeongnam region in December last year.

In addition to summer and winter, the bank is also promoting the 'Love Sharing Project,' which provides traditional market gift certificates or food packages to underprivileged groups in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan regions during holidays such as Seollal and Chuseok.
