Busan Students Communicate Through Art on Stage... 'Busan Student Festival' Opens on the 15th

The '2025 Busan Student Festival,' where students from the Busan region will showcase their passion and talents on stage, will be held from July 15 to 18, with performances every day at 2 p.m. at the Grand Theater of the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education Student Arts and Culture Center.

This festival, hosted by the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education Student Arts and Culture Center (Director: Lee Haeseon), is the largest youth arts event in the region, where elementary, middle, and high school students who have participated in arts clubs will present the skills they have honed.

This year, a total of 34 clubs will participate, offering performances that cross genres such as band, hip-hop rap, pungmul, and Nanta. In particular, the festival will feature original songs written and composed by the students themselves, live band performances, and shows that span both traditional and contemporary styles, providing a diverse range of attractions and opportunities for interaction with the audience.

The festival will open on July 15 with the 'Gaon Nanta' team from Gyeongnam Girls' Middle School, who plan to thrill the audience with a dynamic Nanta performance. Each day for the following four days, a different team will take the stage, continuing the series of passionate and unique performances.

The event is designed not only as a series of performances but also as a space for students' emotional healing and self-esteem recovery. The program is structured to allow students to relieve everyday concerns such as academic stress and peer relationships through participation in, and appreciation of, the performances.

The performances will be broadcast live on the 'Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education Student Arts and Culture Center' YouTube channel, allowing students, parents, and citizens who cannot attend in person to enjoy the festival online.

Director Lee Haeseon stated, "The Busan Student Festival is a valuable opportunity for students to express themselves, communicate with others, and grow through the arts. I hope that through this festival, both the possibilities of arts education and students' sensitivity will be further expanded."
