This is a famous quote from British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood. She is the founder of the global luxury brand Vivienne Westwood. During her lifetime, with her bold and original designs, Vivienne Westwood became a symbol of punk, representing 'resistance', 'rebellion', and 'challenge'. Recently, as the MZ generation (Millennials and Generation Z), who value individuality and personal style, has become more prominent, Vivienne Westwood is emerging as a popular brand.

The prestigious luxury hotel, The Shilla Seoul, has launched a bold collaboration with Vivienne Westwood. The hotel has introduced the "Planet Vivienne Westwood" package, which allows guests to enjoy an afternoon tea while viewing at a glance a collection of artpieces owned by Vivienne Westwood, including jewelry, bags, and accessories in the exclusive Executive Lounge. This is the first time The Shilla Seoul has partnered with a fashion brand to hold an exhibition in its lounge.
The Executive Lounge, recently infused with Vivienne Westwood's signature style, felt more harmonious than out of place. Located on the 23rd floor of The Shilla Seoul, the Executive Lounge was originally designed with the motif of a "successful CEO's library." Books and ceramics reflecting Eastern aesthetics were placed throughout the space to create an environment for complete relaxation.
This time, instead of ceramics and countless books, a glass showcase containing Vivienne Westwood products was placed in the middle of the bookshelf. It looked as if a CEO had collected rare treasures in their private library. The showcase, adorned with Vivienne Westwood's logo of a planet wearing a crown, exuded a luxurious vibe.
Vivienne Westwood arranged the products according to four themes: heart motif, MacHeath tartan, tartan, and patent leather. To enhance the exhibition atmosphere, all price tags were removed, and instead of selling the items, discount vouchers were provided to customers who purchased the package. Notably, models featuring Vivienne Westwood's signature check pattern were placed throughout the space, maintaining harmony with the surroundings. For this collaboration, Vivienne Westwood introduced a new yellow check pattern inspired by its classic design.
The jewelry section was particularly eye-catching. Positioned near the entrance, it immediately drew the attention of lounge guests. Among luxury fashion brands, Vivienne Westwood stands out for its overwhelmingly high jewelry sales. In particular, the pearl necklace combined with the Vivienne Westwood logo has gained popularity after being worn by global celebrities such as Lisa of Blackpink, G-Dragon, and Dua Lipa. At the exhibition, visitors could preview rare jewelry pieces that are difficult to find on the market, as well as new items for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.
Another highlight was the afternoon tea set. The set included eight desserts: macarons, scones, sandwiches, apple mango yogurt jelly, mille-feuille, and more. Inspired by the yellow check pattern, The Shilla Seoul's dessert chefs developed the set by hand, using seasonal ingredients. The mango macaron was engraved with "VW", and the tea coaster featured the Vivienne Westwood logo.

Guests could enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea while taking in panoramic views of downtown Seoul. A representative from The Shilla Seoul explained, "It is very popular because guests can enjoy it with their children," adding, "The space is not just filled with books; there are also attractions to see, which makes it feel new and refreshing."
The Shilla Seoul will offer the Vivienne Westwood package for two months, until the 31st of next month. The package includes afternoon tea, lounge access, and Vivienne Westwood membership platinum tier benefits. In addition, a bottle of Chateau Pegau Rose Pink Pegau, a 50,000 won Vivienne Westwood voucher, and an all-day pass to Urban Island (the swimming pool) are provided.
