Hana Financial Group announced on the 11th that it held the 2nd 'Hana JOB Matching Festa' of 2025 at EXCO in Buk-gu, Daegu, to support reemployment for middle-aged and older adults and to create jobs in the local community.
The 'Hana JOB Matching Festa' is Hana Financial Group's flagship job creation program. Since 2024, it has been held as a reemployment fair in major cities across the country to expand reemployment opportunities for middle-aged job seekers and provide local small and medium-sized enterprises with opportunities to recruit talented individuals, thereby helping to alleviate labor shortages.
The first fair, held in Incheon in June, attracted participation from 48 local SMEs and around 500 job seekers, concluding successfully. This year, the event will be held a total of five times, touring major cities nationwide, including Incheon, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, and Seoul.
This fair saw the participation of 53 companies from the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, offering customized recruitment by job category, including marketing, HR, general affairs, accounting, and design. Among them, 15 companies operated on-site interview booths, providing job seekers with real hiring opportunities. Additionally, an event was held to provide an interview support grant of 10,000 KRW to the first 100 interview participants.
At the venue, a lecture program was held under the theme 'AI Careers and Starting a Business After Resignation: Job Search Strategies in the Era of Multiple Jobs' to strengthen job seekers' competencies and motivation. In addition, a variety of booths were operated, including coaching and counseling for resume and interview preparation as well as job and start-up consulting, a digital job experience center, personal color image making, and free ID photo shoots, all of which received enthusiastic responses from job seekers.
Hana Bank also set up a separate 'financial counseling booth' at the venue, providing retirement planning consultations for middle-aged and older adults considering life after reemployment, as well as offering a variety of financial products and services for participating companies.
An official from the Hana Financial Group ESG Win-Win Finance Team stated, "Through the Hana JOB Matching Festa, we have been providing practical employment opportunities so that middle-aged job seekers at a turning point in their lives can utilize their experience and embark on a new chapter. We will continue to realize social inclusion and mutual growth in the local community by offering unwavering support for local job creation."
Since 2022, Hana Financial Group has been leading the way in specialized reemployment education and employment linkage for seniors through its social value creation program 'Hana Power On Second Life,' which provides one-stop support for the entire process from strengthening job competencies to job discovery and employment linkage to address the employment challenges faced by the middle-aged and older adults.
As of last year, the 'Hana Power On Second Life' program had produced 4,355 participants in online basic education and 1,711 graduates from offline advanced courses. Among them, 781 individuals successfully found employment, establishing the program as a model case for senior-focused reemployment education and employment linkage.
Notably, starting in 2025, the program expanded its support from the existing 40s and 50s generation to include the new seniors in their 50s and 60s. In the second half of the year, additional educational courses will be offered to help individuals pursue talent-based entrepreneurship utilizing their experience and skills.
