Garlic Flavor Added for a Unique Yet Harmonious Taste

On July 11, Lotte Wellfood announced that it will be launching a limited edition 'Gourmet Selection Garlic' series, adding garlic flavor to four of its biscuit products. The lineup includes 'Margaret Cream Cheese Garlic', 'Zec Mild Roasted Garlic', 'Bba-da Coconut Roasted Garlic Butter', and 'Mom's Hand Pie Sweet Butter Garlic'.

A representative from Lotte Wellfood stated, "The new products were developed to meet the expectations of consumers seeking diverse gourmet experiences by offering flavors that are distinct from our existing products." The company further explained, "By incorporating garlic into the biscuits, we have created a unique yet harmonious taste." Garlic is an ingredient known to help restore energy during the summer season.


'Margaret Cream Cheese Garlic' features the original Margaret biscuit, which uses French low-salt butter, now enhanced with the flavors of roasted garlic and cream cheese. The biscuit combines Margaret's signature nuttiness with a sweet garlic aroma and rich cheese flavor, evoking the taste of garlic bread.


'Zec Mild Roasted Garlic' infuses the distinctive savory and salty taste of Zec with a subtle garlic aroma. The biscuits are slowly baked in the oven, resulting in a gently spreading fragrance and a deep umami flavor. 'Bba-da Coconut Roasted Garlic Butter' is made with French butter and Philippine coconut, and is further enriched with robust garlic and the sweet, fragrant taste of honey. This product reinterprets honey garlic bread in the unique style of Bba-da Coconut.


'Mom's Hand Pie Sweet Butter Garlic' delivers a crispier texture than typical garlic baguettes by adding roasted garlic flavor to its 384-layer pastry. The dough, made with fermented butter, is aged at a low temperature for 12 hours, creating a rich buttery flavor. Combined with garlic, it offers a savory and sweet taste.


The packaging design of the four Gourmet Selection Garlic products also sets them apart from existing products. The packages feature a luxurious black background adorned with gold accents, while key ingredients such as garlic, cream cheese, and butter are used as design elements to clearly express the product concept.
