Gyeonggi Province to Hold 'Art as a Vocation' Special Exhibition for Opportunity Income Artists at Four Venues Including Gimpo

Gyeonggi Province will hold a special exhibition titled '本業(Art as a Vocation): Art as a Calling' four times from July 17 at Gimpo Art Village through February next year, in order to share the social value of opportunity income recipients among artists with local residents.

This exhibition will feature a total of 140 visual artworks?including paintings, photographs, and installations?by 70 artists who were selected through an open call as beneficiaries of the opportunity income program.

The first exhibition, to be held at Gimpo Art Village from July 17 to September 7, will be presented under the sub-theme 'Seesaw: Between Everyday Life and Ideals.' It will showcase 67 works by 36 artists who seek a balance between artistic ideals and the realities of daily life.
