Kim Mikyung Emphasizes Support for Small Business Owners
"Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Will Provide Real Relief"
On July 10, Eunpyeong District in Seoul announced that it held an emergency meeting chaired by the Deputy District Mayor, who also leads the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Task Force, to proactively respond to the 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon' program set to launch on July 21.
The meeting was attended by the heads of relevant departments, including the Autonomous Administration Division, which oversees the project. They reviewed the key responsibilities and progress of each department and discussed ways to enhance collaboration.
Eunpyeong District held an emergency meeting on the 10th, chaired by the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Task Force Leader. Provided by Eunpyeong District.
The 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon' is one of the core livelihood policies of the new government, designed as a consumption-boosting project to revitalize the shrinking local economy. Eunpyeong District has actively cooperated with various livelihood policies to improve residents' quality of life, and it expects this coupon program to serve as a catalyst for the recovery of the local economy by supporting small business owners in the area.
To ensure smooth implementation of the project, Eunpyeong District has formed a dedicated task force led by the Deputy District Mayor. The organization is further divided into a payment decision team, an operations team, a personnel management team, and local community centers, thoroughly preparing for the scheduled coupon distribution on July 21.
To maximize the impact of the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon, the district will strengthen resident outreach. Information on how to apply for and use the coupons will be continuously shared through the district’s official social media channels and Alimtalk, and promotional videos encouraging coupon use will be produced and posted on YouTube and other video platforms.
In addition, the district mayor and staff will voluntarily use the coupons at local traditional markets and share their experiences on their personal social media accounts as part of a 'Good Influence' campaign, aiming to further boost local consumption.
Kim Mikyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District, stated, "This coupon program goes beyond simply stimulating consumption; it will provide real support to help local small business owners breathe easier. We will thoroughly prepare for the project through the dedicated task force and take the lead in livelihood recovery by actively promoting the program and encouraging participation."
