Mayor Bang Sehwan Inspects Gosan District and Songjeong-dong Urban Regeneration Sites

Mayor Bang Sehwan of Gwangju City visited the Gosan District Munhwa Nuri Center and the Songjeong-dong Ujeonke Urban Regeneration New Deal project sites in succession on July 9, checking the progress of the projects and the operation status of major facilities.

On July 10, Gwangju City announced that this site visit was organized to directly verify the tangible results of public facilities and urban regeneration projects that are closely linked to citizens' quality of life, and to actively reflect residents' voices in municipal administration.
At the Gosan District Munhwa Nuri Center, Mayor Bang thoroughly inspected the operation of various integrated cultural facilities, including Opo Library, the Community Culture Center, the All Together Care Center, and the Childcare Support Center.
He then toured the Songjeong-dong Ujeonke Urban Regeneration New Deal project site, visiting community-based facilities such as the Small Library, the All Together Care Center, the Urban Regeneration Support Center, the Happy Village Management Office, and the Senior Citizens' College. He discussed with officials how these projects are contributing to tangible improvements in the quality of life for local residents.
Mayor Bang emphasized, "Public facilities and urban regeneration projects are most closely connected to citizens' daily lives, so it is essential to achieve effective results," and requested, "Please make every effort to ensure that the projects proceed without setbacks, so that residents can truly feel the changes."
Meanwhile, Gwangju City plans to continue inspecting major project sites and will spare no effort to expand resident-centered living infrastructure and promote balanced regional development.
