Dongseo University will co-host the 'SDGs Design International Awards 2025' together with Kyushu University in Japan and Tongji University in China.
This competition is designed to discover creative design ideas from young people for a sustainable society and to use these ideas as a driving force for social innovation. Since its inaugural event in 2019, young designers from around 15 countries worldwide, including Asia, have participated, and more than 200 entries are submitted each year.
This year marks the 7th edition of the competition, with the theme 'Living Together in an Age of Conflict: Social Design Beyond the Economy.' University (including graduate school) students, vocational institution students, and high school students from around the world are eligible to participate. The application period runs from October 1 to October 30, 2025. The awards ceremony will be held online on December 11 of the same year.
Dongseo University stated, "We are establishing ourselves as a platform for creative design for a sustainable future," and added, "Through solidarity among universities in Korea, China, and Japan, and by expanding youth participation, we aim to lead new possibilities in social design."
