Contains Over 90% Domestic Pork
Rich Juiciness and Springy Texture
On July 10, Daesang Cheongjeongwon announced the launch of a new product, "Less Salty Rich Wurst," a European sausage under the Rich Wurst brand with reduced sodium content.
A representative from Cheongjeongwon stated, "As interest in healthy eating habits rises, driven by trends such as 'slow aging,' demand for products with lower sodium content is also increasing. Since its launch in 2017, the Rich Wurst lineup has maintained steady popularity thanks to its moist juiciness and signature snap. By adding 'Less Salty Rich Wurst' to the lineup, we aim to respond to the growing consumer demand."
"Less Salty Rich Wurst" contains 25% less sodium compared to similar products. It retains the distinctive deep flavor and springy texture of Rich Wurst. The sausage is made using an authentic method designed by a German Meister, and contains over 90% domestically sourced pork. In addition, the juiciness is preserved by aging the sausage at a low temperature for 26 hours.
Yang Seungcheol, head of the Fresh Marketing Team at Daesang, said, "Rich Wurst, our premium sausage, has been consistently loved since its launch for its rich juiciness and resilient texture. We are now introducing a new product with reduced sodium content to cater to consumers who pursue a healthier diet," adding, "We will continue to expand our lineup with more diverse and healthy products in response to changing consumer lifestyles."
