The Korea Industrial Safety Association is operating a promotional booth at the "Smart Safety and Health Exhibition" from July 7 to 10. Chairman Im Musong of the association is seen checking the speed and position monitoring functions among the collaborative motion functions of industrial robots.
The Korea Industrial Safety Association (Chairman Im Musong, hereinafter referred to as "the association") introduced advanced technology-based smart safety solutions in celebration of "Industrial Safety and Health Month."
In this regard, the association participated in the "Smart Safety and Health Expo (KISS 2025)" held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, from July 7 to 10. There, it showcased AI-based safety and health education content for preventing industrial accidents among foreign workers, as well as industrial robot safety solutions.
The association has participated in Industrial Safety and Health Month every year, presenting solutions to various safety and health issues arising in industrial sites, and has contributed to the practical improvement of safety and health standards.
For reference, the association organized and hosted the "1st National Industrial Safety Conference" in 1968 and the "1st Safety and Health Exhibition" in 1983, which served as the starting points for today's Industrial Safety and Health Month and the International Safety and Health Exhibition.
This year, the association drew attention from safety and health professionals by presenting "AI Multilingual Safety and Health Education Content" at its exhibition booth.
This content was developed to prevent industrial accidents among foreign workers, which has recently become a social issue. It provides language options according to the worker's nationality and features customized education designed to reflect actual on-site risk factors.
In addition, the booth included a space where visitors could directly experience safe collaboration methods between humans and robots. Visitors were able to experience firsthand how an industrial robot recognizes a person within its working range and automatically switches its operation speed between normal, deceleration, and stop modes.
Furthermore, the association introduced its roles and key services for industrial accident prevention through various visual content. It also conducted public safety campaigns utilizing its official YouTube channels, such as "KISA Safety TV."
The Korea Industrial Safety Association held a seminar on the 8th under the theme "New Standards for On-site Safety Management of Industrial Robots." Lee Jungnam, Deputy Director of the Association's Certification Inspection Headquarters, is presenting on "Measures to Improve the Safety of Industrial Robot Systems."
In addition to "KISS 2025," the association also held a seminar on July 8 under the theme "New Standards for On-site Safety Management of Industrial Robots."
The seminar featured presentations on the following topics: "Human-Robot Collaboration Safety Requirements" (Professor Lim Seongsu, Kyung Hee University), "Measures to Improve the Safety of Industrial Robot Systems" (Lee Jungnam, Deputy Director of the Association), and "Development and Application of Customized Safety and Health Education Content for Foreign Workers Using AI Human Technology" (Im Jaekeun, Deputy Director of the Association).
Chairman Im Musong stated, "We must redefine the role and approach to safety in line with the rapidly changing industrial environment," and added, "We will continue to pave the way for the future of 'K-Safety' based on the trust of the public and industrial sites."
