Charlie, the son of 'golf legend' Tiger Woods (USA), has confirmed his participation in the Junior Players Championship.

On July 8 (local time), the Junior Players Championship Organizing Committee announced the 58 players who have qualified for the tournament. Out of a total of 78 participants, the remaining spots will be filled through invitations extended by the organizers.

Eligibility for this tournament is granted to the top 58 players in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) rankings. Charlie, who is ranked 18th in the AJGA, easily secured his spot in the Junior Players Championship. In May, he won the AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational, which boosted his ranking from 609th to 14th in the AJGA standings.

The Junior Players Championship, organized by the PGA Tour, is considered a major event among junior golf tournaments. The event will be held for four days starting August 28 at TPC Sawgrass in Florida, USA, the same course that hosts The Players Championship, often referred to as the 'fifth major.'

Woods won The Players Championship twice, in 2001 and 2013. Cameron, the son of Matt Kuchar (USA), who won The Players Championship in 2012, also secured a spot in the tournament by ranking 15th in the AJGA.
