Checking Heat Wave Measures for Vulnerable Housing Groups

On this day, Prime Minister Kim visited the jjokbang counseling center in Dong-gu, Daejeon, and stated, "It is highly irrational to create something good, only to leave it vacant for a long time." He added, "We need to check the vacancy rate of public rental housing nationwide," and continued, "If vacancies are inevitably prolonged, we need to discuss what measures should be taken."
Prime Minister Kim visited the jjokbang counseling center to inspect measures against the heat wave, as the difficulties faced by the homeless and other vulnerable groups increase during the summer. He also toured the jjokbangchon that day, meeting and encouraging elderly residents living alone.
In addition to lawmaker Jang, Sim Jongseop, Director General for Social Coordination at the Office for Government Policy Coordination, and Lee Seuran, First Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, were also present.
