Man in His 40s Urgently Arrested for Walking Around Gimhae Streets Intoxicated with a Weapon

A man who was walking around on the street with a weapon while intoxicated was urgently arrested by the police.

The Gyeongnam Gimhae Jungbu Police Station announced on July 9 that it had urgently arrested a man in his 40s, identified as A, on suspicion of possessing a weapon in a public place.

According to the police, A is suspected of walking around with a weapon on the street in Samjeong-dong, Gimhae-daero, Gimhae City, at approximately 8:14 p.m. on July 8.

After receiving a report that "a person is walking around with a weapon," the police immediately conducted a search and apprehended A at his residence.

At the time of his arrest, he was heavily intoxicated. It was reported that there were many people on the street where A had been walking with the weapon.

The police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident once A has completely sobered up, and will consider whether to apply for an arrest warrant and review further custody measures.
