During the summer, when outdoor activities are frequent, a variety of skin problems can easily occur, including sunburn, wounds, insect bites, skin troubles caused by hot and humid weather, skin barrier damage, and melasma. In response, Dongkook Pharmaceutical organized this event to encourage more proactive summer skin health management through skin care products available at pharmacies.

On this day, Dongkook Pharmaceutical showcased skin care products arranged in a suitcase, introducing products suitable for different skin concerns and emphasizing the importance of total care during the summer. The venue was decorated with various summer props such as parasols, tubes, and surfboards against a resort backdrop, intuitively conveying the skin issues that can arise in summer. In particular, the company recommended the 'Madecassol Series' for wound care, 'Senskin Cream' for sunburn and insect bites, 'Senspot Cream' for acne care, and 'Madeca Pharmacia' products for skin barrier improvement and melasma management.

The Madecassol Series is a range of products designed for wound care that may occur during outdoor activities. Its main ingredient, standardized centella extract, promotes collagen synthesis similar to that of healthy skin, aiding skin regeneration. The lineup includes various products so that users can choose the most suitable one depending on the type and location of the wound.

'Madecassol Care', which contains 74% plant-based ingredients and the infection-preventing agent neomycin sulfate, can be used for general wounds with low risk of infection or wounds on sensitive skin, making it suitable for infants and children.

In addition, the lineup includes 'Madecassol Powder', which is 100% plant-based and suitable for wounds with exudate or bleeding; 'Complex Madecassol', which contains anti-inflammatory complex ingredients and is effective for wounds with or at risk of inflammation; and 'Madeca Moist Band', a hydrocolloid bandage that creates a moist environment to aid wound healing. Notably, 'Madecassol Gel' is a gel-type product containing a high concentration of standardized centella extract, which is less sticky and absorbs quickly, making it suitable for wounds on sensitive areas such as the face.

'Senskin Cream' is a dermatitis treatment suitable for skin damage caused by sunburn and insect bites. It is the first in Korea to combine hydrocortisone acetate and D-panthenol, providing both low-irritation anti-inflammatory effects and skin barrier strengthening. Hydrocortisone acetate is a low-irritation steroid ingredient with excellent anti-inflammatory action, while the high content of D-panthenol helps restore the skin's mucous membranes and strengthen the barrier, compensating for the skin barrier weakening that can occur with steroid ointment use.

'Senspot Cream' is an acne treatment designed to relieve acne and pimples caused by hot and humid weather. The combination of ibuprofen piconol and isopropylmethylphenol provides antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, making it effective for mild to moderate inflammatory acne such as red pimples and pustules.

'Madeca Pharmacia' offers customized solutions for various skin concerns by applying Dongkook Pharmaceutical's standardized centella extract-based skin care brand, 'TECA Plus Formula'. 'Facial Repair Cream' combines TECA Plus Formula with adenosine to strengthen the skin barrier weakened by ultraviolet rays and other factors, leaving the skin radiant. 'Melatouch Cream' contains a four-fold Melatouch Complex (tranexamic acid, glutathione, poria cocos extract, and mung bean extract) to alleviate pigmentation such as melasma and freckles and improve overall skin tone evenly.

A representative from Dongkook Pharmaceutical stated, "In summer, various types of skin damage can easily occur due to ultraviolet rays and hot, humid weather, so it is important to protect skin health with appropriate responses for each situation," adding, "For more effective skin care, it is recommended to actively use customized products for summer skin concerns that are available at pharmacies."
