Starting July 17, the city will operate both the "Punggi Lululala Playground Floor Fountain" and the "Samgakji Floor Fountain in Hyucheon-dong," aiming to help citizens beat the summer heat and support healthy leisure activities.

The Punggi Lululala Playground Floor Fountain, located on Namwon-ro in Punggi-eup, has been created as a dedicated water play area for children of elementary school age and younger.

The facility will be open from July 17 to August 13, with operating hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

It will operate in cycles of 50 minutes of use followed by a 10-minute break, and will be closed every Monday and during rainy weather.

The facility features a 79-square-meter floor area and a water storage capacity of 28 cubic meters. Two dedicated safety personnel will be stationed on-site at all times to ensure user safety.

The Samgakji Floor Fountain (Hyucheon-dong) will be open to the public from July 19 to August 15.

With a total floor area of 252 square meters, the facility is equipped with seven water play features across six types, including two tunnel-shaped fountains. It is expected to be popular among children and families.

Operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fountain will be shut off from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a break to prevent equipment overheating.

Every Monday will be a regular closure day for water quality management and equipment inspection, and operations will also be suspended during rainy weather.

To enhance convenience for citizens, the city will install seven Mongolian-style tents at the site and assign two safety personnel at all times to ensure a pleasant and safe water play environment.

A Yeongju City official stated, "These urban water play facilities, opening ahead of the summer vacation, provide a space where citizens can cool off and have fun nearby without having to travel far. We will do our utmost to ensure safety and water quality so that citizens can enjoy water play with peace of mind."
