On July 9, President Lee Jaemyung carried out appointments for the first and second Deputy Ministers of the Office for Government Policy Coordination. President Lee appointed Kim Youngsoo, Director of National Policy Operations at the Office for Government Policy Coordination, as the first Deputy Minister, and Kim Yongsoo, Director of Economic Coordination at the same office, as the second Deputy Minister.

On July 9, spokesperson Kang Yujeong stated in a briefing at the Yongsan presidential office, "We expect that those appointed today will provide strong support to Prime Minister Kim Minseok, who is committed to serving as the 'dawn prime minister.'"

The newly appointed first Deputy Minister, Kim Youngsoo, is recognized for his comprehensive understanding of policy, having served in various key positions within the Office for Government Policy Coordination. He is particularly strong in policy planning, coordination, analysis, and evaluation. Spokesperson Kang explained, "He is regarded as having warm leadership and excellent communication skills, which enable him to mediate conflicts effectively and act swiftly in carrying out his duties. We believe he is the right person to maximize the effectiveness of government policies through meticulous state management and inter-ministerial cooperation."

The newly appointed second Deputy Minister, Kim Yongsoo, is evaluated as a leader who has demonstrated quick judgment and problem-solving abilities while serving in major posts. Spokesperson Kang stated, "In particular, as Director of Economic Coordination, he has supported advanced strategic industries through the Advanced Industry Strategy Committee, and based on his extensive experience, he will support the new government's growth strategy." Kang added, "He has the capability to back the Lee Jaemyung administration's national growth strategy by promoting deregulation and fostering the development of advanced strategic industries such as artificial intelligence (AI), bio, and semiconductors."
