"Too Hot to Bear" Icheon City to Open Three Urban Park Water Play Areas on the 15th

As record-breaking heatwaves continue for several days, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province will open three water play facilities in urban parks starting from the 15th.

The water play facilities opening this time are as follows: the playground complex at Majang Neighborhood Park, the playground complex at Buak Neighborhood Park, and the ground fountain at Oncheon Park. The water play areas will operate until August 31.

The operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be 45 minutes of operation followed by a 15-minute break, and the facilities will be closed during lunchtime. Every Wednesday, the facilities will be closed for inspection and cleaning, and they will not operate on rainy days. However, the water play area at Buak Neighborhood Park will be closed two days a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The city will conduct regular water quality inspections to ensure safe and pleasant use of the water play facilities. In addition, safety personnel who have completed training in accordance with relevant laws will be stationed to prevent safety accidents.
