'Nationwide Flash Tour' with Mnet on July 10
Specialty Product Pop-ups, 990-Won Event, Hometown Love Donation
A world-renowned idol group with a fandom of 10 million will visit Gwangju on July 10, transforming into a "One-Day Gwangju Flash Tour Guide."
On July 9, Gwangju City announced that it will host the "Nationwide Flash Tour" on July 10 together with the Gwangju Tourism Organization and CJENM (Mnet), in celebration of the "2025 Visit Gwangju Year," featuring a world-famous K-pop idol group.
This event is designed as "A Special Day in Gwangju," where citizens and tourists can enjoy and participate together through a variety of programs, including the sale of local specialties, surprise performances, and the Hometown Love Donation campaign.
During the event, the K-pop idol group will personally operate "flash pop-ups" throughout various locations in Gwangju, selling Gwangju's local specialties at the special price of 990 won. Citizens and fans who visit these pop-ups and make purchases will be able to enjoy a "1+1 event," which offers the opportunity to watch a guerrilla concert by the idols.
In particular, all proceeds from concert viewing tickets will be donated in full to Gwangju City under the idol group's name through the Hometown Love Donation campaign. This adds significance to the event, as it not only promotes local tourism but also practices warm-hearted sharing.
The city expects that the rare visit of a K-pop idol group to Gwangju will not only revitalize neighborhood businesses but also attract pilgrimage demand from the fandom.
Information about the concert and participating idols will be released through Mnet's official social media channel, "Idol Festa Grand Operation: Nationwide Flash Tour."
Lee Seungkyu, Director of the New Vitality Promotion Headquarters, said, "This event is a special summer program commemorating the Visit Gwangju Year. We hope that citizens will find joy through the performances, the fandom will discover Gwangju's hidden attractions, and local businesses will gain renewed vitality, creating a win-win structure for all."
