T Universe Tving Launches on July 15... Standard Plan at 12,500 KRW
Exclusive Tving Rate Plans and Naver Webtoon Bundles Also Introduced
SK Telecom announced on July 9 that it will officially launch the Tving subscription service on July 15. With this, SKT has completed its lineup of subscription products that cover all major domestic and international online video services (OTT).
The newly introduced T Universe Tving subscription service consists of three standalone options: Ad-supported Standard (4,500 KRW), Standard (12,500 KRW), and Premium (16,000 KRW). Each plan is 1,000 KRW cheaper than the existing Tving offerings.
Tving can also be accessed through the "T Universe Pass," which combines various lifestyle benefits such as shopping and convenience store discounts. For example, by subscribing to the "T Universe Pass with Tving" product, customers can enjoy two free Mega Coffee Americanos each month for just an additional 900 KRW on top of the T Universe Tving Premium standalone plan.
Exclusive Tving rate plans will also be launched. Specifically, the 5GX Prime Plus (Tving) plan (99,000 KRW) includes the Tving Ad-supported Standard product; the 5GX Premium (Tving) plan (109,000 KRW) includes the Standard product; and the 5GX Platinum (Tving) plan (125,000 KRW) includes the Premium product, each provided as a T Universe Pass option.
To celebrate the launch, SKT will run a promotion until August 31. Customers who purchase a T Universe Tving standalone product will receive two additional months of free service, for a total of three months (1+2 offer).
A new product combining Tving and Naver Webtoon will also be introduced. The "Tving & Naver Webtoon" package, which includes the Tving Ad-supported Standard plan and 30 Naver Webtoon cookies (worth 3,000 KRW), will be available for 6,500 KRW.
With this partnership, SKT has completed a portfolio that covers all major domestic and international OTT services. Following YouTube Premium, Netflix, Disney Plus, Wavve, and SPOTV Now, Tving has also joined T Universe, further expanding customer choices.
Seo-Young Na, Head of Subscription Products at SKT, said, "We are excited that Tving content can now be enjoyed through the T Universe service," and added, "We hope customers will enjoy Tving even more affordably by combining it with the various benefits available within T Universe."
