Naver announced on July 9 that it has newly added Microsoft (MS) Xbox's 'PC Game Pass' as a benefit of its paid membership, Naver Plus Membership.

PC Game Pass, which has been included as a Naver Plus Membership benefit since July 8, is a game subscription service that allows users to freely access Xbox PC games from Microsoft's game studio without a console.

With this addition, the digital content options available as Naver Plus Membership benefits have expanded to include: ▲MS PC Game Pass ▲Netflix Ad-Supported Standard ▲49 cookies usable on Naver Webtoon and Series. Members can choose one of these three options and are also able to switch their selection.

Naver Plus Membership users can subscribe to Xbox PC Game Pass with no additional fees for a monthly fee of 4,900 won (or 3,900 won per month for an annual subscription). Considering that MS currently offers Xbox PC Game Pass for 9,500 won per month, subscribing through Naver Plus Membership is more cost-effective.

PC Game Pass subscribers can enjoy popular games, including new releases from Xbox Game Studios, without any restrictions on play time or frequency. PC Game Pass also includes an 'EA Play' membership, which allows unlimited access to Electronic Arts games.

Naver expects that the introduction of this game content will not only enhance the perceived value of membership benefits for users, but also help attract new subscribers in their 20s, who have a high rate of PC game usage.

Jung Hanna, leader of Naver Membership, stated, "Naver has focused on increasing user satisfaction by expanding benefits from digital content to areas closely related to daily life, such as convenience stores, movie theaters, and duty-free shops," adding, "We will continue to strengthen partnership services and customized benefits to provide a differentiated experience exclusive to Naver Plus Membership."
