On the 9th, Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to see clear skies amid stifling heat.

According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the region will be on the edge of a high-pressure system located over the northern East Sea on this day. Morning low temperatures are forecast to range from 22 to 25 degrees Celsius, while afternoon highs are expected to reach between 32 and 36 degrees Celsius. With the clear weather, the midday heat index may feel even higher.

Waves in the coastal waters of the West Sea and South Sea are expected to be relatively calm at 0.5 meters, and ultrafine dust concentrations are forecast to remain at a 'moderate' level.

An official from the Meteorological Administration stated, "Temperatures will rise significantly during the day, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses," and advised, "Please refrain from outdoor activities as much as possible and pay special attention to food hygiene."
