The People Power Party decided on July 8 to form a "Task Force for Real Estate Market Stabilization Response" and appointed lawmaker Kwon Youngjin as its chairperson.
On this day, the People Power Party approved the formation of the task force under the Policy Committee during its floor countermeasures meeting.
The task force plans to closely examine the loopholes in loan regulations, which are a key part of the Lee Jaemyung administration's real estate policies.
The task force will be chaired by Kwon Youngjin, a two-term lawmaker who currently serves as secretary of the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee. Additional members, including lawmakers from related standing committees and experts, will be appointed.
The People Power Party stated, "Through future meetings and on-site activities, we will respond to the real estate policy failures of the Lee Jaemyung administration and strive to ensure housing stability for the people."
