KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with Kiwoom Securities to create financial synergy between banks and securities firms.

The signing ceremony, held at the KB Kookmin Bank headquarters in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was attended by Eom Juseong, CEO of Kiwoom Securities, Lee Hwanju, President of KB Kookmin Bank, and officials from both companies. Through this agreement, the two companies plan to improve securities customers' access to foreign exchange services and provide a variety of FX services, including overseas payments and remittances.

First, the two companies plan to launch a "foreign currency cash withdrawal service" within July. Customers using Kiwoom Securities will be able to apply for the "foreign currency cash withdrawal service" after exchanging major currencies (▲USD ▲JPY ▲EUR) via the Kiwoom Securities app (Hero Moon S#), and conveniently collect the foreign currency at KB Kookmin Bank branches. The service will be available at all KB Kookmin Bank branches nationwide, except for airport locations.

In addition, the companies plan to expand services by allowing Kiwoom Securities customers to link their foreign currency accounts to the "KB Kookmin Travelers Check Card," enabling convenient overseas payments using a travel-exclusive card. Furthermore, they intend to add the "KB Kookmin Bank Overseas Remittance Service" to the Kiwoom Securities app, making it easier for customers to send foreign currency abroad.

Lee Hwanju, President of KB Kookmin Bank, stated, "This agreement has laid the foundation for providing tangible financial convenience to securities customers," and added, "Going forward, both companies will continue to expand customer-centric financial services through ongoing collaboration."
