[Weather] Seoul Swelters at 36 Degrees... Scattered Showers and Continued Tropical Nights

On Tuesday, the daytime high in Seoul is expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius, continuing the heatwave.

The morning low will range from 23 to 27 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high will range from 27 to 36 degrees Celsius, which is above the seasonal average.

In most regions nationwide, the apparent temperature will rise to around 35 degrees Celsius, making the heat feel even more intense. In Gangwon Yeongdong, eastern North Gyeongsang, the coastal areas of South Gyeongsang, and Jeju Island, temperatures are expected to exceed 33 degrees Celsius. As temperatures will not drop significantly overnight, tropical night conditions are also expected to persist.

Skies will be mostly cloudy or occasionally overcast across the country. From the afternoon into the night, there will be scattered showers in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, the Chungcheong region, Jeolla region, and northern inland North Gyeongsang.

Expected precipitation is 5 to 40 mm for the Seoul metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, Chungcheong region, North Jeolla, parts of Gwangju and South Jeolla, and northern inland North Gyeongsang. In northern inland North Gyeongsang, precipitation is expected to be 5 to 20 mm.

Fine dust levels are expected to remain at 'Good' to 'Moderate' nationwide, but in the Seoul metropolitan area, stagnant air may cause levels to temporarily rise to 'Poor' in the morning.

Wave heights in the seas will be 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the coastal waters of the East Sea and West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the coastal waters of the South Sea. In offshore areas, wave heights are forecast to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea and West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea.
