An email threatening a bomb attack was received at Sungshin Women's University, prompting authorities to conduct a full search of the campus, but no explosives were found.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on July 7, a report was made to emergency services at 12:24 p.m. stating that a threatening email had been sent to the university's Teaching and Learning Support Team. The email claimed, "Dynamite has been installed" and "It will explode at 3:34 p.m."

The university sent an emergency notice to students around 1 p.m., urging them to return home. Approximately 190 personnel, including the police special operations unit and officers from the local police station, were mobilized to search all buildings on both the Donam-dong and Mia-dong campuses for about four hours. At around 4:45 p.m., police lifted the site control and announced that no explosives had been found.

Previously, on July 4, it was reported that an individual claiming to be a member of 'Namsungyeondae' sent a similar threatening email. Police have begun an investigation, tracking the sender's IP address and analyzing CCTV footage.
