Four People Dead or Injured After Rooftop Fall Involving Three Pedestrians

At approximately 2:34 p.m. on July 7, an accident occurred in Gyeongan-dong, Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, when an 18-year-old woman, referred to as A, fell from the rooftop of a 13-story commercial building and landed on three pedestrians passing by.

As a result of the accident, a teenage girl, referred to as B, died at the scene. A and B's mother, a woman in her 40s identified as C, were transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest.

Another victim, a man in his 20s referred to as D, sustained injuries to his shoulder and other areas and is receiving treatment at the hospital. He is also reportedly experiencing symptoms of anxiety.

It has been determined that earlier that afternoon, A had received treatment at a psychiatric clinic located in the building.

The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
