Chairman Park Sunghyo of SEMS Attends Opening Ceremony of Chungbuk Regional Headquarters

Separated from Daejeon-Chungcheong Regional Headquarters
...Becomes 'Chungbuk Regional Hub'

The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 7th that Chairman Park Sunghyo attended the opening ceremony of the newly established Chungbuk Regional Headquarters in Ochang-eup, Cheongju City, Chungbuk Province.

More than 40 heads of institutions and organizations attended the opening ceremony, including Chairman Park, Kim Younghwan, Governor of Chungcheongbuk-do, Noh Jinsang, Director of the Chungbuk Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, Shin Hyunggeun, President of the Chungbuk Business Promotion Agency, Kim Changsoon, Chairman of the Chungbuk Credit Guarantee Foundation, Lee Myunghoon, President of the Chungbuk Merchants Association, and Park Hyungchae, President of the Chungbuk Small Enterprise Association.


The Chungbuk Regional Headquarters was newly established after being separated from the former Daejeon-Chungcheong Regional Headquarters. It will oversee the Cheongju, Chungju, Jecheon, Eumseong, and Okcheon centers, and will serve as a hub for field-oriented support for small businesses that reflects the geographical and industrial characteristics of Chungbuk.


After the opening ceremony, Chairman Park held the "Co-Prosperity Meeting for Small Enterprises" and shared policy directions with about 30 leaders of local industry associations, including the Chungbuk Merchants Association, the Chungbuk Branch of the Small Enterprise Association, the Chungbuk Cheongju Supermarket Cooperative Association, the Chungbuk Branch of the Korea Skin Beauty Association, and the Chungbuk Branch of the Korea Central Association of Lodging Businesses. During the meeting, he listened to the difficulties faced by the industry, discussed improvement tasks, and sought ways to promote the development of small businesses in the Chungbuk region.


Chairman Park said, "Through the opening of the Chungbuk Regional Headquarters, we aim to listen to and reflect the real voices of local small business owners from the closest possible place, thereby strengthening on-site services. Going forward, we will reinforce our co-prosperity network with associations and organizations and actively pursue field-oriented policies to revitalize the local economy."
