On July 7, Minho Choi, Mayor of Sejong City, visited the second factory of Nowcos Co., Ltd., located in the Sojeong-myeon Advanced General Industrial Complex, to engage in communication with company personnel.

Nowcos Co., Ltd., a company specializing in cosmetics manufacturing, was selected last year as a promising K-beauty small and medium-sized enterprise and is attracting attention in the cosmetics manufacturing sector. Mayor Choi held a meeting with executives and employees to listen to their difficulties and decided to reflect these issues in future policy development.

Mayor Choi also toured the work sites of foreign workers employed on the production floor, listened to the voices from the field regarding working conditions, and discussed the direction for operating educational programs to train foreign technical personnel.

Participating in a product demonstration, Mayor Choi applied a lifting ampoule to his own face and said, "After trying it, I feel this is a product I really need," lightening the atmosphere with laughter.

Mayor Choi stated, "We will do our utmost to provide institutional support for technological development and securing export competitiveness, so that products made by our companies can be loved in the global market." After the meeting, he inspected the Ayamok Reservoir Win-Win Garden, which was created in cooperation with the resident company council within the advanced industrial complex, to check the status of environmental improvements. This inspection was to review the recent installation of a wooden bridge at Ayamok Reservoir to enhance its function as a rest area, thereby ensuring a safe and pleasant space for workers' walks and leisure activities.

Meanwhile, the city, together with Korea Polytechnic University and the Sejong Job and Economy Promotion Agency, is working to establish the Sejong International Technical Education Center in the Jochiwon-eup area by the end of this year, which will offer technical training courses and specialized lectures for foreign workers.
