On July 7, BigHit Music announced that BTS has placed two songs on Apple Music's "Top 500 Most Streamed Songs of the Past Decade" chart.
Based on global streaming data compiled by Apple Music, BTS ranked 34th with "Dynamite" and 252nd with "Butter." BTS is the only K-pop group included on this chart.
"Dynamite," released in 2020, is BTS's first English-language single. The song became the first by a Korean artist to reach No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart and remained at the top for three weeks. It also won "Best Song" at the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards and "Top Selling Song" at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards. In addition, it received a Diamond certification (over 500 million streams) in the streaming category from the Recording Industry Association of Japan in the shortest time ever, and was nominated for a Grammy Award.
"Butter," released in 2021, spent a total of 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. It won "Favorite Pop Song" at the 2021 American Music Awards and "Top Selling Song" at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. The song was also nominated for the 2022 Grammy Awards, making BTS a Grammy nominee for two consecutive years.
Meanwhile, BTS will release their live concert album "PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LIVE" on July 18 at 1 p.m. This is BTS's first live album and will feature 22 tracks from their tour stages held between 2021 and 2022, including "ON," "FIRE," "DOPE," and "IDOL."
