IBK Industrial Bank announced on July 7 that it will host the "2025 IBK Industrial Bank National Middle and High School Volleyball Tournament" in Samcheok, Gangwon Province, from July 8 to July 14. This tournament is the first nationwide regular event of its kind organized by a financial institution.
A total of 49 boys' and girls' middle and high school teams will participate in the "2025 IBK Industrial Bank National Middle and High School Volleyball Tournament," competing fiercely from the preliminary league to the finals over seven days. IBK Industrial Bank will partially subsidize participation fees to allow more teams to join without financial burden and demonstrate their skills, and will also provide substantial support such as scholarships for the winning teams.
IBK Industrial Bank explained that it has made various efforts to promote the development of volleyball in Korea, including operating the women's professional volleyball team Altos, fostering youth volleyball clubs, offering one-day volleyball talent donation classes, and hosting amateur volleyball tournaments.
An IBK Industrial Bank official stated, "We have organized this tournament to provide promising young athletes, who will lead the future of Korean volleyball, with a more stable and systematic environment for growth," and added, "We will continue to actively develop various support measures to broaden the base of youth volleyball and ensure its ongoing development."
