Jung made this statement at the 43rd anniversary ceremony held at the bank's headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul on the same day. Approximately 100 executives and employees, including CEO Jung, attended the event.
Jung stated, "Since its founding in 1982, Shinhan Bank has worked for national development and economic growth with the spirit of 'financial patriotism.' In the rapidly changing digital financial environment, let us provide differentiated financial solutions and become the bank chosen by customers," he urged the employees.
To commemorate its 43rd anniversary, Shinhan Bank is holding customer appreciation events. The "1982 Legendary Installment Savings," launched with a daily limit of 100,000 accounts, sold out in just four days, and additional sales will begin starting today. In the spirit of mutual growth with the local community, employees also participated in a plogging volunteer activity. In addition, through a contactless running event with customers until the 12th, the bank plans to raise a total of KRW 100 million in donations, which will be delivered to seven organizations for purposes such as covering medical expenses for descendants of independence patriots and providing music therapy for children with disabilities.
