The opening ceremony was attended by ambassadors from more than 50 countries in Korea, including Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Korea, Seo Iljun, National Assembly member of the People Power Party, Seo Garam, Director General for Trade Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and key figures from domestic and international economic organizations.

In her welcoming remarks, Yoon Youngmi, President of the Korea Importers Association, said, "Despite the challenging trade environment, this fair has been successfully held thanks to much interest and trust. I hope this event will provide domestic companies with opportunities to discover promising supply chains," and added, "Expanding import volume through stable supply chains contributes to stabilizing domestic consumer prices, so I hope the importance of imports will be further highlighted through this fair."

This year's fair features participation from around 200 overseas manufacturers and brands from more than 40 countries, including Europe, Asia, and Africa, who are showcasing a variety of global products such as popular local foods, daily consumer goods, specialty products, and innovative items. In particular, Alibaba.com, a global distribution platform, is participating on a large scale to provide opportunities for domestic companies to expand their import and export channels.

This year's B2B consultation sessions are seeing active participation from both online and offline distribution buyers, who are holding customized meetings with overseas companies. The 'Global Distribution Seminar,' aimed at expanding business opportunities for import startups and online sellers, drew high interest with early registration closing as soon as it opened, and features participation from Mukkumsa Academy, Alibaba.com, AliExpress, Shopee, and TikTok.
