Miryang City Holds July Employee Communication Day

Awards and Events Held in a Variety of Ways

On July 7, Miryang City in South Gyeongsang Province held its Employee Communication Day event at the city hall's main auditorium, with over 300 participants including staff from the main office, affiliated organizations, townships, and subordinate agencies.

The event featured a variety of programs, including the presentation of commendations, sharing of results from the first half's overseas backpacking training team, introduction of in-house instructors (MY Instructors), a motivational speech, and communication activities.

First, commendations and certificates of appreciation from the mayor were presented to eight individuals for their contributions to spring wildfire prevention, two for promoting veterans' culture, 25 for their roles in the 67th Miryang Arirang Grand Festival, and three employees from related organizations. In addition, certificates of commendation were awarded to three public officials who contributed to city administration, ten exemplary and friendly public officials, and five proactive public officials.

The event also included a presentation by the overseas backpacking training team sharing their experiences from the first half of the year, an introduction to the in-house instructor system 'MY Instructors' which will be fully implemented in the second half, and a lively communication activity called 'Beat the Mayor!' in which the mayor and all employees participated, creating a cheerful and engaging atmosphere.

Mayor Ahn Byunggu stated, "As the second half of the year is now in full swing, we must continuously review and improve how the major projects and policies planned at the beginning of the year are transforming the lives of our citizens." He also urged, "Let us do our utmost in preparing for upcoming festivals and events such as the 25th Miryang Performing Arts Festival, the 28th Korea Youth Theater Festival, the Sunshine Miryang Theme Park Summer Water Playground, and the Miryang Water Festival, to enhance the value and brand of Miryang."

He further emphasized, "Please ensure that there are no gaps in our preparations for various disasters and emergencies such as heat waves and heavy rain, so that citizens can enjoy a safe summer." He added, "Even in the hot weather, let us be a source of positive energy for one another, and approach our work with pride in our respective roles."
