Park Jihoon, Yoon Kyungho, and More to Star in TVING's "Legend of the Cookhouse Soldier"

The Journey of a Cookhouse Soldier Becoming a Legend

On July 7, TVING announced that Park Jihoon, Yoon Kyungho, Han Donghee, and Lee Hongnae, among others, will star in the new series "Legend of the Cookhouse Soldier," which is scheduled for release next year. The drama is based on a webtoon of the same name. It comically depicts the journey of a cookhouse soldier who, armed with a kitchen knife instead of a gun and an apron instead of an ammunition belt, becomes a legend.

Park Jihoon will play Kang Seongjae, a cookhouse soldier who acquires a mysterious ability that allows him to see the condition of food and precise recipes appear before his eyes as if in a game, and develops his cooking skills. In the 4th company, to which Kang Seongjae belongs, Sergeant Park Jaeyoung, nicknamed the "walking time bomb," will be portrayed by Yoon Kyungho, while Lieutenant Jo Yerin, who has a warm charisma, will be played by Han Donghee. Senior cookhouse soldier Sergeant Yoon Donghyeon will be played by Lee Hongnae.

The script is written by Choi Ryong, who has experience as a cookhouse soldier, and the series will be directed by Jo Namhyeong, who previously directed dramas such as "Superior Day."
