Gwangju Bukgu Offers iPad for Hometown Love Donations... Prize Event with WELLO Exterior view of Gwangju Bukgu Government Office.

According to Bukgu on July 7, the district signed an agreement with WELLO and has been officially operating the donation service since June 30. WELLO is a policy recommendation platform used by 400,000 people monthly, and last year it was selected by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety as a private platform for opening digital services for the Hometown Love Donation Program.

Bukgu is also holding a prize event until the end of July to diversify donation channels. The event is open to those who donate 100,000 won or more to Bukgu through the WELLO app or website. A total of seven winners will be selected by lottery to receive prizes worth approximately 4 million won. The prizes include one iPad Air, two AirPods Max, and four 4th-generation AirPods.

The return gifts have also been enhanced. During the event period, a total of 11 companies will participate to provide return gifts to donors, increasing the quantity of existing items such as meat, fruit, and kimchi, or offering additional bonus gifts. District Mayor Moon In emphasized, "The Hometown Love Donation Program is an important system for overcoming local fiscal challenges and implementing projects that residents can truly feel."
