This festival is organized by the city of Siheung in connection with the "WSL (World Surf League) Korea Open International Surfing Competition," which will take place at Wave Park from July 18 to 20.

The festival will be held on a special stage next to the competition venue, featuring performances by popular DJs such as Park Myungsoo, Soda, Charles, Subin, Ina, and Judy. There will also be a relay performance by university DJs from across the country.

In addition to music, the festival site will offer side events such as a flea market in collaboration with local small businesses, a food zone with a variety of culinary options, and a rest zone for visitors.

Meanwhile, the WSL Korea Open International Surfing Competition will feature 232 athletes from 16 countries, including Korea. The competition serves as a point-earning event for Olympic qualification, with events in the "Shortboard Qualifying 6000 Points" and "Longboard Qualifying 10000 Points" categories.

No Junggon, head of Siheung's tourism department, said, "Through this festival, we aim to widely promote the charm of Siheung both domestically and internationally, and to invigorate the local economy."

Information about the event can be found on the Siheung City Hall website or the Turtle Island Festival Instagram account.
