Daecheon Beach in Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province, the largest beach on the west coast, officially opened on July 5, welcoming the start of the summer tourist season.
The Boryeong city government announced on July 7 that it held the "2025 Daecheon Beach Opening Ceremony" at the Mud Square of Daecheon Beach, with a grand celebration attended by around 800 people, including Mayor Kim Dongil, local residents, and tourists.

After the ceremony, performances by the Boryeong City Dance Association, as well as congratulatory stages by singers Second and Yoon Suhyun, received enthusiastic responses from tourists visiting the beach.
Daecheon Beach will be open for 51 days, from July 5 to August 24.
This year, in celebration of the "2025-2026 Chungnam Year of Visit," a variety of cultural and tourism programs will be held, including the 28th Boryeong Mud Festival, a world-renowned summer event.
