Gwangju City will host the largest event in the Honam region, the "Korea Climate Environment and Energy Expo," where visitors can explore the latest energy technologies and a wide range of environmentally friendly products in one place. The event is expected to serve as an opportunity to enhance the city’s reputation as an eco-friendly urban center and to present an innovative vision for the growth of the climate environment and energy industries.

On July 6, Gwangju City announced that it will hold the "2025 Korea Climate Environment and Energy Expo" from July 9 to 11 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center, presenting a new vision for renewable energy transition and climate crisis response.

This exhibition is hosted by Gwangju City, Jeonnam Province, and the Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office, and organized by the Gwangju Tourism Organization. More than 200 companies from 12 sectors?including renewable energy, solar (thermal), ESS, batteries, secondary batteries, smart grid, water environment, air environment, waste management, environmental new technologies, resource circulation, and ESG?will participate to showcase renewable energy technologies and a variety of environmentally friendly products.

During the exhibition, a "Rounding Program" will be operated to introduce major participating companies and share industry trends, helping buyers and institutional representatives to visit the exhibition more efficiently.

In particular, the "Co-Growth Fair," a purchasing consultation event for large corporations and public institutions, will see participation from about 80 large corporations and public institutions and about 130 small and medium-sized enterprises. Through business matching, case presentations, and policy briefings, the fair will provide SMEs with opportunities to pioneer new markets.

The "KOTRA Export Consultation" will support participating companies in expanding their overseas business through one-on-one business meetings with invited international buyers. A studio will be set up inside the exhibition hall to provide participating companies with free one-stop services, from product photography to product registration on online export platforms.

In addition, a variety of forums and seminars connecting policy and industry?such as briefings on renewable energy support policies and RE100 implementation strategy seminars?will be held on climate, environment, and energy topics. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Korea Climate Environment and Energy Expo Secretariat.

Another highlight of the expo is the "Net-Zero Market," a citizen participation event. Not only business and industry professionals but also the general public can take part in various eco-friendly experience programs, including a wildlife photography exhibition, zero-waste daily goods, and making natural handmade cosmetics.

Choi Taejo, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Industry Office, said, "We have prepared the 2025 Korea Climate Environment and Energy Expo with great care," and added, "We will do our best to make this event an opportunity to raise awareness about energy and the climate environment, as well as to provide business opportunities."
