A janitorial worker who lost consciousness and collapsed at Jeju International Airport has died.
According to the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters and Korea Airports Corporation Jeju Airport on July 4, an airport employee reported at approximately 9:48 p.m. on July 3 that a janitorial worker in their 50s, referred to as A, had collapsed and was unconscious in a restroom near Gate 4 on the third floor of Jeju Airport.
A received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) from emergency responders and was transported to the hospital, but passed away the following day.
The cause of death was reported to be myocardial infarction.
