On July 4, Uiseong County announced that local companies Uiseong Contech and Wooju Industry were selected as sincere taxpayers, and Yeoseonggu, CEO of Daegu Nongyak Jongmyosa, was selected as an exemplary taxpayer for the 'Gyeongbuk-do Sincere and Exemplary Taxpayers' award. All of them received a commendation from the provincial governor.

Uiseong Contech and Wooju Industry were recognized not only for their thorough fulfillment of tax payment obligations, but also for their active engagement in social contribution activities, such as creating local jobs and addressing welfare blind spots. The commendations for these two companies were presented at the regular July meeting of Uiseong County, held recently.

CEO Yeoseonggu received the governor's commendation at the 'Exemplary Taxpayer Award Ceremony' held at Gyeongbuk Provincial Office on June 25. By operating Daegu Nongyak Jongmyosa, she has maintained a stable supply chain for agriculture-based industries and contributed to the soundness of local finances through consistent tax payments.

Gyeongbuk Province is working to raise tax awareness and encourage voluntary cooperation in tax administration through the Sincere and Exemplary Taxpayer system. This year, a total of 14 exemplary taxpayers were selected in the province.

The awardees will receive various benefits, including a three-year deferment of local tax audits, preferential interest rates at provincial treasury financial institutions, and exemption from various local tax-related fees.

Kim Jusu, Mayor of Uiseong County, said, "It is highly meaningful that responsible taxpayers in the region are fulfilling their social duties with sincerity despite challenging domestic and international economic conditions," adding, "We will continue to provide administrative support to ensure that a culture of sincere tax payment spreads throughout the region."
