Busan Regional Veterans Office Holds Entrance Ceremony for Discharged Veterans' Special Security Guard Training Program

On July 4, the Discharged Veterans Support Center of the Busan Regional Veterans Office held the entrance ceremony for the 'Specialized Consignment Education Program for Discharged Veterans' at the Silla University Lifelong Education Center.

Busan Regional Veterans Office Holds Entrance Ceremony for Discharged Veterans' Special Security Guard Training Program Busan Regional Veterans Office is holding the entrance ceremony for the 'Special Security Guard New Recruit Training' for discharged veterans.

This training program is the 'Special Security Guard New Recruit Training Course,' one of the specialized consignment programs selected by the Busan Discharged Veterans Support Center in 2024. It will be conducted as a residential program for a total of eight days, from July 4 to July 11.


A total of 58 people applied nationwide, and 30 were finally selected as trainees. They will receive intensive training in qualifications and practical skills required for employment in the special security field.


Ninety percent of the training cost is covered by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. Participants will receive both theoretical and practical instruction at the Silla University Lifelong Education Center, developing the basic knowledge and practical abilities required of special security guards.


A center official stated, "We hope that all participants will diligently complete the training and go on to achieve stable employment in the special security sector."


The Discharged Veterans Support Centers, currently operating in ten locations nationwide, provide a variety of customized employment and entrepreneurship services for discharged veterans who have served for five years or more as mid- and long-term service members. These services include one-on-one career counseling, provision of job information, support for vocational training expenses, and transition assistance grants.


In addition, companies wishing to hire discharged veterans can contact the center to receive recommendations for outstanding candidates, enabling mutually beneficial employment connections.
