Chungnam Provincial College Career Psychology Counseling Center announced on July 4 that it held the "2025 Peer Counselor and Faculty Counseling Competency Enhancement Training Program" at Hotel Sollere in Boryeong for two days starting from July 3.

A total of 55 students and faculty members participated in this program. On the first day, faculty members received training on career counseling theory and methods for providing occupational information, while students participated in sessions on basic psychological counseling theory, communication styles, and relationship-building techniques, deepening the participants' practical counseling competencies.

On the second day, students and faculty members took part in a joint counseling practicum program, sharing experiences of applying theory to practice and having the opportunity to acquire counseling skills.

Park Minho, Director of Career Support, said, "It was a valuable opportunity for students and faculty members to learn together, understand each other's roles, and broaden their shared understanding of counseling. I hope this program will serve as a catalyst for further vitalizing the college's counseling culture and for strengthening a robust, student-centered support system."

The Chungnam Provincial College Career Psychology Counseling Center plans to continue enhancing faculty professionalism and strengthening interdepartmental collaboration to establish an integrated counseling support system at the college level. The center will also provide ongoing support to help students develop confidence as peer counselors, improve their communication skills, and enhance their career preparation abilities.
