On July 4, the Chungnam Fire Headquarters 119 Special Response Team conducted a joint lifesaving training exercise with the Boryeong Water Rescue Team at Daecheon Beach in Boryeong to prepare for summer water-related accidents.
This training was organized to enhance the underwater rescue equipment operation skills of rescue personnel and to establish a prompt response system, in preparation for various water-related accidents that may occur due to the increase in beach visitors during the summer.
The main components of the training included: ▲ familiarization with diving safety procedures ▲ improvement of underwater search and rescue capabilities ▲ mastery of rescue equipment operation such as boats and jet skis ▲ and safety accident prevention education based on past summer water-related accident cases.
Lee Jujin, head of the 119 Special Response Team, stated, "Water-related accidents often involve unexpected situations, making it difficult to respond quickly without repeated proficiency training. We will continue to strengthen our rescue capabilities through ongoing education and training and do our utmost to protect the lives of the public."
