This year, 11 teachers were selected as recipients of the Korea Teacher Award from among those recommended by 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education and universities nationwide. Kyu-bae Lee was honored with the Hongjo Geunjeong Medal, the highest distinction of the award.

As a key member of the Daegu Future School Field Support Team, Kyu-bae Lee has worked to strengthen teachers' competencies for instructional innovation. He has contributed to establishing a sound classroom management culture through activities such as the Happy Classroom Management Research Group, the Classroom Management Sharing Relay, and co-authoring "Solving Classroom Management through Relationships." He has also been recognized for his dedication to creating a positive school culture and preventing school violence by taking on homeroom teacher roles for less popular grades, challenging classes, and students struggling with adaptation.

Kyu-bae Lee stated, "It is an honor to receive such a prestigious award, and I decided to donate the scholarship with the hope of helping students grow up upright and healthy."

Kang Eunhee, Superintendent of Daegu Education, said, "I congratulate and thank you for being recognized for your educational achievements, receiving this significant award, and even donating a scholarship for the growth of students. The donated funds will be used meaningfully to support students in need and to foster talented individuals."
