According to Jeonju University on July 4, the purpose of this camp was to discover creative local ideas based in the region and to identify the economic value of these ideas. The event was held in conjunction with the Jeonbuk Youth Network Exchange, which is organized by the Jeonbuk Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Kang Youngjae).

The "Idea Auction in Jeonju" program is planned and operated by Jeonju University as part of its "Local Content-Focused University" initiative. Through this program, participants can discover a variety of business ideas for local startups. The goal is to help them understand that these ideas not only serve as essential elements for business but also have value as independent economic "assets."

With this kickoff camp as the starting point, the "Idea Auction in Jeonju" program will run for about two months until September. Around 20 local entrepreneurs and aspiring founders from the province participated in the kickoff camp.

The detailed program included networking for young local entrepreneurs in the region, special lectures on local startup idea cases by Lee Kanghee (Guhwang Universe), Jung Eunjung (Local Works), Jung Hyunbin (Localer), and Kim Youngrok (Learning Crew). In addition, through the "Idea Marche," a total of 10 teams?including students from the Department of Business Administration, Department of Local Venture Studies, Department of Industrial Engineering, and Department of Companion Plant Studies at Jeonju University?presented and discussed their ideas.

After this kickoff camp, the participating teams will further develop their local startup ideas in collaboration with mentors from social cooperatives. On September 5, at Heyground in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, the "Idea Auction Day" is scheduled to be held, where teams will pitch their ideas, receive feedback from experts, and, in the case of outstanding ideas, have the opportunity for their ideas to be purchased at a price reflecting their evaluated value.

Kim Sangjin, a professor at Jeonju University, stated, "This program is expected to provide an opportunity for creative local youth ideas to grow into economic value," and added, "It is also expected to play a significant role in creating a sustainable startup ecosystem that goes beyond simply solving local problems."
