The One Company, One School Financial Education is a financial education program organized by the Financial Supervisory Service. Financial institutions and schools form sister partnerships to provide students with economic education and deliver financial knowledge.
KB Life established a partnership with Sillim Middle School in 2023 and has since operated economic classroom programs. This year as well, employees participated as one-day volunteer teachers and continued financial education for 100 first-year students.
KB Life explained that the program was designed with a variety of activities to help students develop a proper understanding of finance. The session began with a bingo game called "Finding the Elements of Happiness for a Happy Life." Basic economic concepts such as income, savings, and investment were introduced. Board games were used to encourage students to take an interest in finance.
A KB Life representative stated, "Our employees visited our partner school and contributed their talents so that students could build a correct understanding and knowledge of finance," adding, "We will continue to do our best to help young people who will lead the future of Korea develop smart and sound financial habits by utilizing a variety of financial education programs."
KB Life established a social contribution foundation in 2006 and has since practiced sustainable management together with civil society. The KB Life Insurance Social Contribution Foundation has hosted the nation’s largest National Youth Volunteer Competition and carried out a hematopoietic stem cell donation campaign.
