"Strengthening the Expertise of Pacific Ocean's Tax Group"
On July 10, law firm Pacific Ocean announced that it has appointed Lim Jae-hyun, former Commissioner of the Korea Customs Service, as an advisor.
Advisor Lim Jae-hyun graduated from Yonsei University and began his public service career after passing the 34th Higher Civil Service Examination. He is a seasoned tax expert who has served in key positions in the Tax Policy Office, including as Standing Commissioner at the Tax Tribunal, Director General for Property and Consumption Tax Policy, Director General for Income and Corporate Tax Policy, Director General for Comprehensive Tax Policy, and Director General of the Tax Policy Office at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. He concluded his public service as Commissioner of the Korea Customs Service.
Advisor Lim brings 30 years of experience in tax policy and administration at the National Tax Service, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Korea Customs Service. Based on this background, he is expected to provide highly specialized advice across all areas of tax, customs, and trade at Pacific Ocean's Tax Group and Trade Strategy Innovation Hub.
