Samsung Electronics is launching a new top-and-bottom combined washer dryer with enhanced AI (artificial intelligence) features.
On July 4, Samsung Electronics announced that it will begin selling the 2025 model of its top-and-bottom combined washer dryer, the 'Bespoke AI One Body,' which is equipped with a 7-inch 'AI Home' touchscreen.
The 2025 Bespoke AI One Body combines a 25kg-capacity washer on the bottom with a 22kg-capacity dryer on top, making it suitable for consumers who have large loads of laundry or prefer to separate their washing.
Compared to installing the washer and dryer units separately in a vertical stack, the new product lowers the height of the upper dryer's loading port by about 80mm, making it easier to load laundry.
The 2025 Bespoke AI One Body is equipped with a 7-inch AI Home touchscreen, allowing users to easily control washing and drying cycles and functions. In particular, the screen is positioned so that users can check information and operate the appliance while standing naturally.
The touchscreen features a '3D Map View' function, which displays a three-dimensional floor plan of the home and shows the location and status of connected appliances at a glance. This allows users to conveniently control devices connected to SmartThings.

Additionally, the AI voice assistant 'Bixby' is supported, enabling users to control the appliance naturally through conversation-like voice commands. It can understand instructions and complex commands that have not been previously learned, and it remembers the previous conversation to continue the interaction. For example, if you ask, "Bixby, what is the detergent-free tub clean cycle?" it will provide the relevant information, and if you then say, "Start it with that," it will remember the previous conversation and run the selected cycle.
The 2025 Bespoke AI One Body incorporates even more advanced AI features, including: ▲AI Customized Wash+ ▲AI Customized Dry+ ▲AI Vibration and Noise Reduction System ▲AI Automatic Detergent Dispensing.
'AI Customized Wash+' automatically selects the optimal cycle based on the type, weight, and soil level of the laundry. The AI analyzes the characteristics and patterns of the laundry to differentiate fabrics and delicately adjusts the entire process from washing to rinsing and spinning according to the material. It also determines the soil level during washing and increases or decreases the amount of detergent and washing time as needed.

The types of fabrics that the AI can recognize have been expanded from the previous three (delicate, towel, normal) to a total of five, now including denim and outdoor fabrics. 'AI Customized Dry+' distinguishes among four types: normal, denim, towel, and delicate, and uses optimized algorithms to thoroughly dry thick garments and leave towels fluffy, customizing the drying process according to the fabric material and characteristics.
Specialized washing and drying functions for bedding are also supported. 'AI Bedding Wash' and 'AI Bedding Dry' detect the volume and type of bedding, quickly washing and drying thin bedding to save water and energy, while thoroughly washing and drying thick comforters to ensure they are clean and fluffy without tangling.
The 2025 Bespoke AI One Body features an upgraded 'AI Vibration and Noise Reduction System.' It detects the vibration pattern of the washer according to the floor environment and minimizes vibration. In addition, it is equipped with a two-stage damper that absorbs vibration, resulting in a low spin noise level of 51.7dB(A).
Other convenient features include 'AI Automatic Detergent Dispensing,' which automatically dispenses the appropriate amount of detergent for each load, and 'Auto Open Door,' which automatically opens the door after washing or drying is complete.
Notably, this new product newly applies the 'Direct Water Power Auto Clean' function, which was first introduced in the 'Bespoke AI Combo.' It automatically cleans the dryer's heat exchanger dust with strong water pressure, and manual cleaning is also possible if needed, allowing users to maintain the product in a clean state.
The 2025 Bespoke AI One Body consumes 22.2 Wh/kg of electricity per kilogram of laundry during washing, which is 45% lower than the minimum standard for grade 1 drum washers (45.8 Wh/kg) announced by the Korea Energy Agency.
Moon Jongseung, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances (DA) Division, said, "Samsung Electronics offers all-in-one, combined, and separate washer and dryer options so that consumers can freely choose according to their lifestyle," adding, "We will continue to provide laundry solutions that make consumers' daily lives more convenient by combining various platforms and customized AI technologies."
This new product is available in four colors: Dark Steel, Silver Steel, Greige, and White, with a suggested retail price ranging from 3,698,000 won to 4,348,000 won depending on the specifications.
During the pre-sale period, which runs until July 16, customers who purchase the product in Dark Steel, Silver Steel, or Greige from Samsung.com will receive benefits worth up to 300,000 won.
