The publication of the guidebook is part of the KODEX ETF "Dividend Restaurant" campaign, which aims to effectively introduce monthly dividend ETF products and related investment strategies. In line with the campaign's approachable "restaurant" concept, the guidebook is designed like a menu, inviting investors to choose monthly dividend ETFs from the "Dividend Restaurant" KODEX. Unlike existing monthly dividend ETF guidebooks on the market, this guidebook is significantly condensed to just 11 pages, containing only the most essential information for investors.
Recently, the demand from investors seeking regular cash flow has grown significantly, leading to rapid growth in the monthly dividend ETF market. According to Koscom ETF Check, the net asset value of domestic monthly dividend ETFs stands at 28.9114 trillion KRW, an increase of over 10 trillion KRW compared to 18.5296 trillion KRW at the end of last year. In line with this trend, Samsung Asset Management has used the KODEX Monthly Dividend ETF Guidebook to provide a detailed introduction to its lineup of 25 KODEX monthly dividend ETFs, covering dividend stocks, covered calls, REITs, bonds, and asset allocation.
The guidebook focuses on five representative monthly dividend ETFs that allow investors to receive dividends twice a month, based on mid-month and end-of-month dividend structures. The five monthly dividend ETFs carefully selected by KODEX are: KODEX US Dividend Covered Call Active, KODEX 200 Target Weekly Covered Call, KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10 Target Weekly Covered Call, KODEX Korea Real Estate REITs Infrastructure, and KODEX US Dividend Dow Jones. The guidebook provides practical information, enabling investors to easily compare the key features, top 10 investment stocks, and total fees of all 25 monthly dividend ETFs at a glance.
Concepts that may confuse investors, such as ex-dividend date, record date, and payment date, are explained in an easy-to-understand manner using a calendar-style timeline and glossary. Essential information that investors need to know is organized in a Q&A format, making the guidebook accessible even to ETF beginners.
Kim Dohyung, Head of ETF Consulting at Samsung Asset Management, stated, "Interest in dividend ETFs among investors is increasing day by day, but investment information remains insufficient. The KODEX Monthly Dividend ETF Guidebook is content that combines practicality and enjoyment, tailored to the investor's perspective." He added, "It will serve as an essential guide, providing key information and investment points for those entering dividend ETF investment for the first time."
The KODEX Monthly Dividend ETF Guidebook is available for free download by anyone, without registration, on the official Samsung Asset Management website. In addition to the Monthly Dividend ETF Guidebook, various other guidebooks published to promote investor protection and a healthy investment culture are also available.
